ABOUT THE ARTIST

Lynn Lieberman, who paints under the byline AFineLyne, lives and works in East Harlem. Inspired by her surroundings, Lynn captures her favorite places in watercolor. She is probably best known for detailed watercolor maps of various neighborhoods in New York City, including Greenwich Village, Harlem, East Harlem, Chelsea/Union Square/Madison Square, TriBeCa, Brooklyn Heights, and the Upper East and West Sides.

Her streetscapes, include historic townhomes, jazz clubs, favorite shops, restaurants and iconic buildings. Some of these images are printed on merchandise (tea towels, aprons) and sold in retail shops as well as online with Etsy and Fine Art America.

Lynn’s paintings are her interpretation of the people and places she discovers while strolling the boulevards, alleyways and public parks, bringing to life those elements that are the singular trademarks of Gotham ~ the city where she was born.
